Pakistan's education system has been the subject of much debate and discussion over the years. With challenges, the country has made progress in expanding access to education in recent years.
Every Child in School
In September 2021, the government of Pakistan announced the launch
of a new initiative aimed at increasing enrollment in schools across the
country. The program, called "Every Child in School," aims to ensure
that every child in Pakistan has access to quality education.
Under the program, the government will provide financial compliment to families who cannot afford the expenses of education of their children. The initiative will also involve the construction of additional schools and the hiring of new teachers.
Use of Technology in Classrooms
The recent development in Pakistan's education system is the
increasing use of technology in the classroom. Many schools across the country
are now using digital tools to enhance the learning experience for students.
Moreover, online learning
platforms have become popular in Pakistan in the time of the COVID-19
pandemic. These platforms enable students to access educational materials, classrooms,
and participate in classes from anywhere with an active internet connection.
Challenges faced by Pakistan’s Educational System
However, there are still significant challenges facing Pakistan's
education system. One of the biggest obstacles is the lack of fund,
particularly in rural areas. Many schools in these areas lack basic facilities
such as electricity and running water, making more difficult to provide a quality
education to our child.
Secondly, Pakistan's education system faces issues with equity and
quality. In the country, many schools suffer from overcrowding, the teachers
are poorly trained and insufficient facilities, which can impact the quality of
education students deserve.
Although, The Government of Pakistan
has made education a priority in last years, and there are signs of progress.
We can achieve this by improving teacher training process, by investing in
infrastructure & projects, and leveraging technology. Pakistan has the
potential to build a world-class education system. It can still provide
opportunities for all its students.
